Warning issued for holiday drivers 28th July 2008
Anyone planning to drive while enjoying a holiday in Spain should take safety precautions before they set off, it has been suggested.

According to the NFU Mutual, unfamiliar roads could make driving difficult for British holidaymakers and it is important to make sure that all aspects of the relevant vehicle are in full working order.

Furthermore, it is important to make sure that all the paperwork relating to car and travel insurance is in order, otherwise a holiday in Spain could be more costly than it needs to be, the company maintains.

"Driving on unfamiliar foreign roads can be a tricky business but it is important that you also check whether you are covered in the event of an accident or theft," said Laura Wood from NFU Mutual.
