Holidaymakers eager to shed 'Brits abroad' image |

 Over half of Britons admit to being 'holiday snobs' and choosing to travel to areas where they are unlikely to run into rowdy fellow countrymen.
In a poll by Cater Allen Private Bank, 57 per cent of people claimed that they liked to holiday in quiet destinations such as La Manga Club and places that were not associated with rowdy groups.
The study found that 46 per cent of people feel their holiday choices reflect their personality, while four per cent say they liked to "out do" friends and family members when it comes to travel destinations.
Sally Watts, director of marketing at Cater Allen, commented: "Britons are becoming more discerning about where they holiday and are keen to avoid stereotypes of British unruliness abroad.

Spain is a 'romance hotspot' |

 Britons looking for romance should consider a break at La Manga Club, after new research revealed that Spain is a holiday romance hotspot.
New research revealed that 34 per cent of Britons have enjoyed a holiday romance, with the top destinations including Majorca, Barcelona and Tenerife.
The study – carried out by moneysupermarket.com – found that those over 60 were the most likely to find love abroad, while the residents of East Anglia were the most likely to get married after a holiday fling.

Spanish hotels 'among Europe's best' |

 Luxury Spanish resorts such as La Manga Club are among the best in Europe, according to a new report.
A recent study by Hotelclub.es revealed that accommodation in Spain is streets ahead of other destinations and that the country boasts some of Europe's best hotels and resorts.
In the study - which looked at the world's best hotels - Spain beat off competition from France and Italy to take 5th position.

CelebAir flies to Spain |

 Britons booking flights to Spain this summer have the opportunity to be waited on by a host of well-known celebrities, as ITV's CelebAir takes to the skies next month.
The programme will see 11 celebrities take over the running of a Monarch plane and carry out a range of duties from checking passengers in to conducting safety demonstrations.
Members of the public will have the opportunity to fly with CelebAir to a number of Spanish destinations such as Alicante, Malaga, Ibiza, Menorca and Tenerife.
Commenting on the prospect of celebrity flights to Spain, ITV2 controller Zai Bennett said: "CelebAir promises to be a huge reality event this autumn on ITV2.

Millions of Britons make Spanish bank holiday getaway |

 Millions of Britons are set to escape the wet August weather and head to Spain this weekend.
With the rain continuing to pour down in the UK, The Travel Association (Abta) has estimated that up to two million Britons will leave the country between August 22nd and August 25th.
Friday and Saturday are expected to be the busiest two days, with 420,000 holidaymakers travelling through Heathrow Airport and 260,000 departing Gatwick.
According to Abta, holidays to Spain remain a firm favourite, with Britons attracted by the guarantee of sunshine.

Britons flock to Spain to escape the rain |

 British holidaymakers are heading to Spain in their droves as they attempt to escape the terrible UK weather.
As the rain continues to pour down in the UK, pictures in today's Daily Mail reveal that Britons are flocking to the Spanish Costas in search of some Mediterranean sunshine.
Temperatures on the Costa Blanca reached 32 degrees Celsius yesterday, while those staying on the Costa del Sol near La Manga Club experienced similar highs.
The Daily Mail reports that some popular resorts are fully booked, as people defy the credit crunch and book last minute breaks.

Enjoy some 'holiday therapy' at La Manga Club |

 A recent study found that almost half of Britons use their holidays as a form of therapy and to improve their overall well-being.
According to Cater Allen Private Bank, 43 per cent of people use their holidays to de-stress and unwind, while 17 per cent of Britons admitted that they "live for" their annual break in the sun.
When it comes to rest and relaxation, no one does it better than Spain's exclusive La Manga Club, where guests are spoilt for choice by the number of activities on offer.

Saudi royal holidays in Spain |

 Britons visiting La Manga Club this summer may have the opportunity to rub shoulders with royalty.
Euro Weekly news reported earlier this week that Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia and a number of other high-profile royals are currently holidaying Marbella's Al Riyad Palace.
The Prince and his entourage have reportedly been spotted "frequently" around the sea front and in the resort of Puerto Banus.
Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz's yacht – Shaf London – is currently anchored close to the shore of Marbella.

Britons 'spend savings' on holidays |

 British holidaymakers spend around £50 million of their savings annually to fund their travels, according to new research.
A study carried out by Abbey revealed that the average Briton spends over ten per cent of their income on holidays in the sun – equating to around £1,650 annually.
Of those surveyed, 26 per cent claimed that spending money on a luxury holiday – such as a trip to La Manga Club – was the best way to use excess cash.
It was also revealed that for many Britons holidays are now viewed as an essential expenditure, with 33 per cent of respondents admitting that taking luxury holidays was one of their top priorities.

A recent study by Alliance and Leicester found that holidaymakers over 50 were keen to stay active and enjoy new and exciting challenges.
