With weather forecasters predicting a wet summer on the British Isles this year, there has never been a better time to pack up and fly to La Manga Spain.
The La Manga Club is serviced by both Alicante and Murcia airports and, whether you live in Guernsey or Gatwick, there will be an airport that can take you there. There are thirteen airlines that fly to either Alicante or Murcia meaning that whether you're after a bargain deal or luxury all the way, you're almost guaranteed to find it.
Once at either Alicante or Murcia you will want to get to La Manga Club straight away and the best way to do this is to book a taxi in advance. To do this, contact the club before you travel with your flight arrival details. Then when you depart the plane there will be a driver waiting, holding a board with your name on, at the arrival gate. You will then be dropped as close to your door as possible. If you can't find your driver, try ringing the emergency number 0034 968 175 248.
There are a whole host of simple tips and hints to make your flight to La Manga Club as smooth as possible so that you can start your holiday in style. Packing smart might sound a bit daft, but it can save loads of time once you arrive. There's no need for items like bed sheets and towels, as La Manga Club supplies these, although many people find it nice to have a separate beach towel too. Pack things like suntan lotion and moisturisers into individual plastic bags to prevent against leakage. If you're taking a bag you intend to carry on your back, packing the lighter items at the bottom as this will put less pressure on your lower back, and, as a result, be more comfortable.
Remember to get to the airport in plenty of time. Most airports recommend you arrive at least two hours before the departure time for an international flight. Persuading a friend or relative to drop you off at the airport is a great way to ensure you're on time, but, if not, be sure to plan your trip on public transport carefully to avoid missing the flight. In London, Stansted and Gatwick airports are serviced by the Stansted and Gatwick Express trains which depart from London Victoria and Liverpool Street stations. If you are flying from Heathrow the Piccadilly line on the London Underground now goes all the way to the airport, but be careful travelling with lots of luggage at peak hours. Most UK airports have train or shuttle bus services - check before you travel.
La Manga Club caters for tennis and golf holidays but there are a whole range of other activities which you can take part in. Whether it's just lying on the beach or doing some light shopping, to adventurous activities like climbing or water sport, La Manga Club caters for all. So be sure to get the best flight for you so you can get on with having a great holiday.
