Spikes Bar at La Manga Club

The world famous Spikes Bar in La Manga has been fully refurbished and is back better than ever! However, don't go to Hyatt Hotel if you're looking for some top entertainment, as Spikes Bar has moved and is now enjoying its new home in La Plaza (to the right of Mulligans).

Spikes bar has been offering the best live music for almost ten years but faced an uncertain future in December 2006. The old management of Spikes decided to close the establishment, but knowing its popularity with holidaymakers at La Manga Club, a new management team took the opportunity to move the iconic establishment to its new refurbished home.

Squash court at La Manga Club in Spain

There is one squash court at La Manga Club which is located within the tennis centre complex. The squash court is a glass backed squash court. Contact tennis reception to hire the squash court, which can be hired per 30 minutes.

Swimming Pools at La Manga Club. Everyone staying at La Manga Club will have access to a swimming pool. There are about twenty different accommodation communities at La Manga Club and each community has its own swimming pool, solely for the use of the guests staying in that community. Guests who are staying at the Miradores community have access to the Oasis swimming pool at the tennis centre

The Oasis Pool near the Tennis Centre, is a very large communal swimming pool with childrens paddling pools and is open for all La Manga Club guests use.

Taxi Transfers from Murcia Airport to La Manga Club

There is no public transport service from Alicante Airport to La Manga Club. We are able arrange your taxi transfers to and from La Manga Club from both Murcia Airport and Alicante Airport.

In order to reserve your taxi transfer you will need your arrival flight details. We will arrange for a driver to meet you at the airport arrival gate. The driver will be holding a board with your name on.

Telephones on La Manga Club Spain

Most self catering villas and apartments at La Manga Club, but not all, will have a telephone from which outside telephone calls can be made, however, you will need to ask your on site Management Company to have the telephone activated in order that you can use it.

There will be a charge for having the telephone line connected and then you will receive an itemised statement at the end of your stay, showing the total cost of your calls. The calls are not surcharged and are billed at the local telephone company rates, usually Telefonica. If your villa or apartment does not have a telephone, calls can be made from the Telephone Exchange, which is located at the junction of Calle de la Rambla and Calle de la Calabaza. There are also a number public telephone boxes around the Club. The international dialling code to the U.K. is 0044.

Tennis at La Manga Club in Spain

Tennis at La Manga Club in Spain. The tennis centre at La Manga Club is renown throughout Europe as one of the best of its kind. There are 29 tennis courts with all different types of tennis court surfaces available.

The tennis centre at La Manga is centrally located within the Club and is within a short walking distance of many of the accommodation communities at La Manga Club. La Manga also provides a courtesy shuttle bus which operates throughout the club including a direct service to the tennis centre if required. We would certainly recommend the luxury Los Olivos apartment community at La Manga as these are located closest to the tennis centre and within a few minutes walk to the tennis courts. Los Olivos also has the benefit of two outdoor swimming pools and a 20 metre indoor heated pool which make Los Olivos a perfect location for a tennis holiday all through the year.

The beach at La Manga del Mar Menor La Manga

The La Manga del Mar Menor is surrounded by a great selection of beaches. There are 42 kilometres (26 miles) of beach around the pure, crystal waters of the Mar Menor. The maximum depth is seven metres and is warm enough to swim throughout the year evening winter time.

There are three main beach areas, each with their own characters. The Mar Menor beach is sandy and leads to the calm, very warm La Manga del Mar Menor lagoon. The Mediterranean side of La Manga strip is on the Eastern coast of the region, and has a sandy beach leading to the open sea. The final beach is on the Southerly coast. The landscape is different, the beach is still but many beaches are surrounded by rocky areas.
